Style: Drum and Bass

I made this kind of testing out some stuff I learned on hardware samplers and such...the idea is to fake a sidechain compressor by setting levels between the kick and sub bass so that the kick will override the sub bass when playing. Then on the master channel, I threw on a light compressor to beef things up nicely.

The bassline itself is made of 3 elements:
1.) Sub Bass -> Kick/Sub compressor send
2.) Audible Bass Sound -> low end cut, run through chorus to space it out, make it fat!
3.) Little high pitched whistle - added just for a small effect. It's not necessary...

All sounds were edited within Bhajis. Snare drum was created with 2 layered snares. The first one was a deep fat snare that I cut all the high end off and put resonance on to give it some punch. The second snare element was a more hissy sounding snare with the low end cut and resonance put on to make it more forceful sounding. There's also a high drum loop that plays through a chorus...
