One of these combined with Bhajis Loops and Microbe and a Palm. Sky's the limit. Can't imagine what some members of the community would be able to do!

Cool... But how is it different from the M-audio Microtrack or the Zoom PS-04?

The M-Audio Microtrack is just a recorder with pretty darn good spec's. Made me wonder if my Sony TCD-D100 Datman was getting a bit long in the tooth. From what I can see at a glance, the PS-04 is similar as far as size, FX, and most features . Plus' for the Zoom are the channel EQ's and WAV file export. The Roland has SD Card, MP3, USB port, Timestretch and Center channel cancel. A minus with the Zoom for me is the Smartmedia. Unfortunately they're scarce in my neck of the woods and AFAIK most card-makers don't make them anymore. Availablility may be better elsewhere. Minuses for the Micro-Br? Remains to be seen.
I don't think it's quite out yet. Roland's next BR model up is around $200 U.S. It should be less than that.

This looks nice- but like most new roland products, they keep changing the casing but the specs are just the same as countless other similar devices. For eg why give us 4 tracks instead of 6 or 8- in a case that big. 4 is just boring :(

shame- I do like the *look* of it :)

It looks made for us Palm Bloopers (yeah I know, I too just learned that I'm a blooper. Oh well)
