Mobilize the Creatures

Heyyyy! It's a new Loonie tune. Er, quite. *ahem*
Presenting: "Mobilize the Creatures".
Something along a drum and bass vibe this time. I have a couple of DnB tracks underway (along with a bunch of other stuff I can't quite seem to get finished); although it was started later than the others, it's the first I've managed to sort of wrap up.
Some reflection:
Firstly, even now I continue to be impressed with how good Bhajis little synth can sound. They are phat, snarly, dreamy, whatever you need them to be, and they overflow with character. All the instruments in this track use a misc collection of short raw waveforms from my Nords/Juno, all the envelope/filtering is from the Bhajis synth module.
Secondly, when using a short, simple waveform on an instrument that's being layered or octaved, introducing some sample offset makes for some downright sinister noise, the tonality of which I found reminiscent of the Cheetah MS6.
Thirdly, at 180 BPM, you use up your allotment of sequencer bars really quickly! This posed something of a challenge for where I wanted this track to go, and made for a somewhat quirky arrangement in order to fit enough stuff in.
Would that I could get this productive on my main set-up! Anyhow, hope ya enjoy, and hope 2010 treats you all well.
