About this site...

What is Bhajis garden ?

Bhajis garden is a community site for the users of the PalmOS music applications Bhajis Loops and Microbe. The registered users can post songs, news or tutorials, comments, or even rate songs!

Do I need to be a registered Bhajis Loops or Microbe user to register on this site?

Not at all! People who are currently evaluating Bhajis Loops or Microbe are welcome on this site. Not only will they learn tips and tricks to make a better use of the program, but they will also discover the warm and friendly community of Palm musicians.

And well, maybe if you post a wonderful 32 bars miracle song done with the demo version, you will get a free registration code :)

Why do I need to give my email address when I register? Will it be published on the site?

The email address will not be published on the site and will not be given to any third party. It will be used by the editors in case they need to send you suggestions about content you have posted. Like "I activated the tutorial you posted but I changed a few typos." or "Nice song, would you like to write a tutorial about how you used automation to achieve this wonderful wah-wah effect on bar 3?".

Content submission

How do I submit content?

Non-registered users cannot submit content. Registered users can use the "submit song" and "submit news/tutorials" links in the menu.

Once the song or the piece of news/tutorial has been submitted, it is flagged for review and approval by the editorial staff. At this stage, you can continue to edit the page as many times as you want.

Once the editorial staff has accepted your submission, it appears in the archives or in the main pages. Otherwise, it will appear as "rejected", and it is very likely that a comment explaining why will be posted by the moderators. In this case, don't hesitate to modify the mistakes and reply to the comments left by the moderators!

If you decide to modify the song or the piece of news/tutorial after its publication, it will be flagged once again for approval, and removed from the public pages.

How do I format the text I submit

In many places in the site you can use formatting tags:

What is this "level" thing?

Your level is computed from the number of tutorials / news / songs you post, and from their rating. A legend says that soon, users with the highest levels will have special advantages on the site...

Who is moderating this site?

Olivier, the developer of Bhajis Loops is moderating the site, as well as two other Bhajis Loops users!

What can I do with these songs? Can I remix them? Must I pay to purchase them? Can I broadcast them on the radio?

All the contents published on Bhajis Garden is free (as in free beer). Bhajis Garden members are invited to publish their songs under one of the Creative Commons licenses. Creative Commons offers a range of licenses adapted to the publication of music online. For example, you can decide to distribute your song freely, but forbid commercial uses or remixes. Just select the appropriate license depending on what you allow other people to do with your music.

Other issues

Is there a RSS-feed for this site?

Of course! There is a general feed for all the contents, and specific feeds with all the recent songs or news. The forum feed is also available.

I have found a bug! A PHP error message! A page that does not renders well!

Did you use PhpNuke? SPIP? Typo3?
